About this Episode

Racism and white supremacy are a huge part of our culture. The situation is no different within the women's movement, which has struggled with White Feminism, which is when white women choose to only pay attention to issues that impact them personally and supressing the voices of women of color. We look at the disparities between black women, women of color and white women in everything from wages to wealth to health outcomes. We talk about common tactics white women use and how we can change our behavior. We learn about ways we can uplift women who experience harm under our white supremacist culture and how we can stand up and start being anti-racist, because not being racist isn't enough. We take a hard a look at ourselves and how our show can be more inclusive and representative. We acknowlege that we still have a lot to learn and there is so much more on this topic that we intend to continue to include in our future episodes.
